Hino Motors Manufacturing, USA, Inc., the industrial truck division of Toyota, has an opportunity for an entry level Buyer in its Farmington Hills office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the supply base, cost reduction activities and other purchasing related activities.

Duties include:
- Creating supplier RFQ packages for; production components and tooling.
- Analyze supplier cost breakdowns.
- Issue Purchase Orders for production components and tooling.
- Support plant manufacturing requirements.
- Facilitate annual supplier cost reductions/manufacturing improvements.
- Supplier continuous improvement activities.
- Identify and develop new suppliers to support cost and production targets.

Job Requirements include:
- B.S. in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance
- 1 or 2 years experience in manufacturing purchasing required. Some automotive purchasing preferred.
- Negotiation experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, team building, conflict management, problem resolution and time management skills required.
- Strong PC Skills, with mid-to-high level experience with Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
