Warranty and Supplier Quality Specialist

Description
Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc. the industrial truck division of Toyota, has an opportunity for a Warranty and Supplier Quality Specialist at its Farmington Hills office. This position will be responsible for warranty data processing and compensation, local supplier compensation activity, claim reduction activity and help in management of collection of warranty return parts.

Duties include:
* Warranty claim data processing
* Receive and analyze data of quality issues reported in the USA and Canada
* Possible visits to dealers, distributors, manufacturing facilities and suppliers to collect data and information relating to field quality issues
* Provide warranty data assistance to field quality staff
* Supplier warranty compensation activities
* Provide advice in claim reduction activities
* Management of QWS warranty system and system improvements
* Management of returned warranty parts
Requirements
Education:
* B.S. preferred

Experience:
* 3-5 years of experience as automotive warranty or quality analysis helpful
* Strong background in automotive
* Knowledge of ISO9000 or QS9000 helpful
* Previous experience working with a Japanese company helpful

Skills:
* Ability to work with little supervision
* Ability to read and understand warranty data and track & create warranty reports as required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal, team building, conflict management, problem resolution and time management skills
* PC skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Lotus Notes helpful

* Up to 10% travel required
